How to fix cursor misplacement issue in burp suite (Windows 10/11) ?

 

Hello ,

Sometimes we face a really frustrating issue in burp suite where the cursor is misplaced and it becomes really difficult to edit requests in various tabs . Basically the issue is not with burp suite but with the windows 10 machine you are using (Dont panic , not exactly an issue you can fix it easily by following the given steps (: )

How to fix this ?

Here are the steps you need to follow to solve the issue :

1. Go to settings 

    

2. Click on System :

     

                                          

3. Now go to the Display section (By default you'll be in that section)                                                         

4. Scroll down and under Scale and layout you'll see an option saying Advanced scaling settings .Click on the option .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

    

5. Now just go to the Custom scaling section (in your case it might be different but the word custom will be there... ) . You'll see a placeholder and above it says "Enter a custom scaling size between 100% - 500% (not recommended)" .

    

6. Enter 125 in the text box and click on Apply. Also just a note: In case the size of your icons are extra large from the beginning then I would suggest you to enter 150 in the text box so that your pc does not look alien to you after the changes : )

7. You'll be asked to sign out after hitting apply . Go ahead !

8. After signing in ,open burp and boom the issue is fixed : )

Note: You can ignore the Not Recommended text in step 5 since I have done this too and have not faced as such problem till date : )
